Knightstone invests in PEC’s Drake Devonshire and Motor Inn
Knightstone Hotel Group Inc., an affiliate of Knightstone Capital Management Inc., has announced its strategic investment in the 25-room Drake Devonshire Inn and Drake Motor Inn located in Prince Edward County.
The investment is a joint venture between Knightstone Hotel Group Inc. and Drake Hotel Properties (the “Drake”). The Drake will continue to manage the properties.
Located in the Town of Wellington within historic Prince Edward County, the Drake Devonshire Inn and Drake Motor Inn sit on the shores of Lake Ontario and within proximity of local, award-winning wineries and Ontario’s renowned Sandbanks Provincial Park.
Opened in 2014 by the Drake, the Drake Devonshire Inn is a retrofitted 13-room inn featuring an indoor and outdoor restaurant and bar, and multi-format corporate and private event spaces. The all-season hotel fosters unique guest experiences through playful design, stunning art installations, cultural programs and events, and exceptional food and beverage menus that represent seasonal and local ingredients. The property was expanded in 2019 with the addition of the Drake Motor Inn, parked down the street from the Drake Devonshire, as a nod to the classic roadside motel for modern travellers exploring Prince Edward County.
